250th Year of National Independence

On May 17, 2026, 1-4 p.m., Pemberton Hall will celebrate the 250th Year of National Independence with an event featuring a Declaration of Independence presentation by Tim Robinson from the Salisbury University History Department. The event will also feature the Dover English Country Dancers, a Liberty Tree Dedication, colonial music, colonial food/ beverages, and colonial reenactor musket firings. Avalai Swinehart will inaugurate the event with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
